Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role in the M40 area. You will work across EYFS and KS1, supporting pupils with SEND in groups and assisting the class teacher to deliver lessons and activities.

The ideal candidate will have relevant TA qualifications and excellent communication skills, with a calm, patient and proactive approach to helping children learn and engage in school life.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as Teaching Assistant preferred.
  • Qualifications such as a Level 2/3 TA Diploma desirable.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher to deliver lessons and activities.
  • Support pupils in groups and interventions as directed by the class teacher.
  • Foster inclusion and manage behaviour under supervision.
  • Communicate with staff, pupils and parents about progress and needs.
  • Monitor pupil progress and report to the class teacher.

Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: M40

Pay Rates: 14.25 to 16.65 per hour

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday

Reeson education are working with a excellent primary school in M40 who are looking to find an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term role to start as soon as possible, you will be working across EYFS & KS1 as a general teaching assistant and helping support pupils with SEND in groups.

Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver lessons and activities and promote inclusion for all pupils
  • Deliver group activities and interventions as directed by the class teacher
  • Communicate effectively, professionally and in a friendly manner with staff, pupils, and parents
  • Support the management of pupil behaviour and provide additional support for children as required
  • Monitor and track progress of pupils ensuring strong communication with the class teacher

The school are looking for a teaching assistant with relevant experience, who will bring enthusiasm and a commitment to children's learning to a happy and friendly school. As a teaching assistant you will need to be adaptable, enthusiastic, highly motivated, calm and patient, you should be able to work as part of a team, as well as use your own initiative.

Teaching assistant Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma are desirable.

Teaching Assistant Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.

Teaching assistant Attributes:

  • A passion for supporting children's education, a proactive approach, and a willingness to adapt to different school environments.

Safeguarding:

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
