Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants for roles across Merseyside, offering day-to-day supply to long-term assignments. Prior education experience and SEN know-how are essential. DBS checks are required, with support to obtain if needed.

Roles include 1:1 and small-group support, classroom setup, and liaison with teachers and other professionals to track pupil progress. Flexible shifts and local school placements help you find the right environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in education or a similar role.
• SEN experience.
• Level 2/3 Childcare qualification (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Work with pupils 1:1 or in small groups to support lessons.
• Prepare the classroom and assist the teacher during lessons.
• Support pupils with SEN and develop effective strategies.
• Liaise with teachers and professionals to discuss pupil progress.
• Assist with lunch and break duties when needed.
• Report concerns to the SENCo.

Responsibilities

• Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide support during lessons
• Provide general support to the class teacher, such as setting up the classroom for lessons
• Support pupils with SEN and develop strategies to best support their needs
• Liaise with the class teacher and any other relevant professionals to discuss pupil progress
• Provide additional support with lunch and break duties where needed
• Report any concerns to the SENCo
