Job summary

Mana Education is actively recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for opportunities across Chesterfield and surrounding areas. We seek caring, patient individuals to support children with diverse needs in primary and secondary settings.

Roles include day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term placements, maternity cover, temp-to-perm, and permanent SEN positions. You may work 1:1 or in small groups with a focus on communication and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people in UK schools.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups to assist learning.
• Assist classroom learning and reinforce instructions.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and independence.
• Contribute to a positive, safe learning environment.

The Role

You may work:

• 1:1 with pupils
• In small intervention groups
• Supporting classroom learning
• Assisting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and independence

• Relevant experience supporting children or young people OR relevant experience in UK schools

Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial but not essential for all positions.
