SEN Teaching Assistant — Flexible School Roles

Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants for roles across Merseyside, including supply and long-term positions. You will support pupils with SEN, work 1:1 or in small groups, and assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom setup.

Experience in education and a current DBS (or willingness to obtain one) are required. This role offers flexible opportunities in local schools with a dedicated consultant and competitive weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in Education or similar role.
• SEN experience.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide support during lessons.
• Provide general support to the class teacher, such as setting up the classroom for lessons.
• Support pupils with SEN and develop strategies to best support their needs.
• Liaise with the class teacher and any other relevant professionals to discuss pupil progress.
• Provide additional support with lunch and break duties where needed.
• Report any concerns to the SENCo.
