Hanwell Fields Community School in England is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with teachers and pupils, supporting learning, behaviour management, and inclusive classroom practices. The role focuses on individuals and small groups within a 32-hour week schedule during term time.
You will contribute to creating a calm learning environment, assist with ICT learning tools, and support pupils’ social and academic development. A Level 3 TA qualification and GCSE passes are essential.
As our Teaching Assistant you will work closely with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing targeted help to pupils and assisting staff in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Your role will help ensure all pupils can access learning and develop confidence, independence, and resilience.
Working under the direct guidance and supervision of classroom teachers, you will support individuals and small groups of pupils, helping them to engage with lessons, follow instructions, and build their skills. You will also assist with behaviour management and contribute to maintaining a calm, supportive learning atmosphere.
You will be patient, approachable, and proactive, able to adapt your support to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners. Your input will be vital in helping pupils achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
Hours of duty: 32 hours per week - 8:30-15:15 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Tuesdays until 4pm for CPD.
