Job summary

The Link Academy Trust is seeking a part-time teaching assistant to support a pupil with complex educational needs. This fixed-term post involves in-class support with tailored interventions, building positive relationships with children, staff and parents, and promoting wellbeing within a nurturing, collaborative team.

You should have GCSE English and Maths, a caring, initiative-driven approach, and previous experience in a school setting, ideally with SEN.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths to GCSE A-C or equivalent.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support with tailored interventions for a pupil with complex needs.

Job description

This is a fixed term appointment linked to EHCP funding for specific support for a pupil with complex educational needs. You will provide in class support including tailored interventions and we are looking to appoint an individual with a sensitive and nurturing approach. The successful applicant will need to be flexible, communicate effectively and think creatively. We are looking for someone with a strong, sensitive and caring approach to children's needs, who is able to be an effective communicator and think creatively. You will need to show a high degree of initiative and be solution focussed. It would be beneficial to have experience of working with children with complex needs. • Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents;

• Be able to use your own initiative when required;
• Have experience in a similar role in a school;
