Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Derby with a dedicated SEND hub. The role is full-time, long-term, starting ASAP until July 2027, term-time only from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

You will support 8 children in EYFS and KS1 with ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviours, helping them access learning and reach their potential. The successful candidate will have SEN experience, ASD/ADHD experience, and a patient, resilient, caring approach with

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Experience supporting children with ASD and ADHD.
• Experience working with children in EYFS and/or KS1.
• Patient, resilient and caring approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a group of 8 children in the SEND hub across EYFS/KS1.
• Provide consistent learning, development and behaviour support.
• Work within the SEND hub with a dedicated team to aid access to education.
