Are you a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role in a welcoming primary school? Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference to their learning and development.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils both in the classroom and, where needed, through targeted individual or small-group support. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning across the primary curriculum
• Working with children individually and in small groups
• Helping pupils stay focused, engaged and confident in their learning
• Supporting classroom activities and preparing resources
• Encouraging positive behaviour and good classroom routines
• Providing pastoral support and helping pupils develop their confidence
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
• Supporting pupils with additional needs where required

About You

The school is looking for someone who is reliable, patient, enthusiastic and passionate about working with children. You will ideally have:

• Previous experience working in a school, nursery or childcare setting
• Experience supporting children aged 4–11
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm and positive approach to behaviour management
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Confidence working as part of a team
• A genuine desire to help children succeed

Strong transferable experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals will also be considered.
