Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a friendly primary school in WA7. You'll support pupils with classroom activities, provide individual or small-group help, and assist with emotional and behavioural regulation under the guidance of the class teacher.

The role is temporary, with daily pay between £93 and £96. Axcis offers referrals and is committed to safeguarding, DBS checks, and equality of opportunity in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils academically and emotionally.

Are you a patient, nurturing and resilient teaching assistant looking for a new opportunity within a supportive primary school? Axcis Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school where you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. This role would suit someone who is confident working with children who may require additional support and who can remain calm and composed when faced with challenging situations.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting children with classroom activities and learning.
• Providing individual or small-group support.
• Helping pupils regulate their emotions and behaviour.
• Using positive strategies to prevent and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
• Supporting pupils during lunch and meal times.
• Providing personal care support where necessary.
• Encouraging independence and confidence.

• Working alongside teachers and other professionals to meet individual needs.
