Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Skelmersdale from September. This full‑time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:45am–3:30pm, supporting a Year 5 class and helping pupils access the curriculum.
You will work with the class teacher, run small group interventions in literacy and numeracy, support individual pupils, and assist with resources, behaviour and transitions.

There is also the potential for a permanent contract for the successful candidate, depending on the school's ongoing staffing needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils in a Year 5 class, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. You will provide support to the whole class, as well as working with small groups and individual pupils who may require additional guidance to access the curriculum. The school is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive individual who can build positive relationships with pupils and contribute to their academic, social, and emotional development.
