TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a long-term placement at a one-form-entry school in Hengoed. The role starts immediately and is paid at market-leading daily rates.

You will support pupils with complex and behavioural needs within a specialist base, helping maintain a positive learning environment and engagement with activities. The successful candidate will bring experience in ALN/complex needs, strong teamwork and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Salary: £85.50 - £95 per day

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who shares this collaborative approach and is committed to supporting pupils to achieve their potential.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis for 1 day per week, with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will work within a specialist base supporting pupils with complex and behavioural needs, helping them engage with learning while providing consistent and appropriate support.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with ALN, complex needs or behavioural needs
• Experience working within a school or educational setting
• A patient and resilient approach to supporting pupils
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A positive and adaptable attitude
