Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Cardiff, supporting pupils within the SEN resource base. You will adapt tasks and activities to suit individual needs, helping children engage, progress and reach their potential.

The role is long-term and involves close daily collaboration with teaching staff to provide a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for learners with Additional Learning Needs / ALN.

Qualifications

• Experience working within an SEN resource base or similar provision.
• Experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN.
• Ability to adapt tasks and activities to individual pupils.
• Experience supporting children to engage with their learning and make progress.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Salary: £14.25 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Cardiff who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, with a dedicated resource base supporting children with a range of Additional Learning Needs / ALN.

The school is looking to take on a flexible Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, supporting children within the SEN resource base. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils, adapting tasks and activities to suit individual needs while helping children to engage with their learning, develop their independence and achieve their potential.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working within an SEN resource base or similar provision
• Experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• A good understanding of how to adapt tasks and activities to individual pupils
• Experience supporting children to engage with their learning and make progress
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A passion for helping children of all abilities reach their potential
