Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a busy mainstream primary school in Abergavenny to recruit a Part-time Teaching Assistant for morning sessions.

You will support 1:1 in the nursery, helping pupils with a range of needs through tailored activities, encouraging independence and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Immediate start available and a long-term opportunity with competitive rates of pay through PAYE.

Responsibilities

The school is committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child is supported to thrive both academically and personally.

The school is looking to take on a part time Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support 1:1 in the nursery class, supporting pupils with a range of needs, providing tailored interventions, encouraging independence and assisting with the delivery of engaging learning activities.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with ALN.
• Experience supporting pupils within a primary school environment
• A caring, patient and nurturing approach
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A positive can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in
