St Leonard's Church of England Primary Academy is seeking a General and 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher and groups in the morning, and to provide focused 1:1 support for a pupil after lunch. This is a full-time, temporary post until 31.08.27, delivering 38 weeks per year with set school hours.
The role requires enthusiasm for working with children, creativity, dedication and strong communication and organisational skills.
General and 1:1 Teaching Assistant
The role will involve supporting the class teacher and groups of children during the morning, providing general classroom support and helping children with their learning.
During lunchtime and in the afternoon, the role will then provide dedicated 1:1 support for a specific child, helping them to access learning and participate safely and successfully in school routines and activities.

Your role will include contributing to the delivery and monitoring of interventions for individuals and small groups, supporting assessments and evidencing learning, working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources plus building positive relationships with the children by being an approachable, caring and supportive role model.
