Weldon CE Primary School in the Peterborough Diocese Trust is seeking a friendly Teaching Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis until 31 July 2027. The role is 17.5 hours over 5 mornings per week across 38 weeks per year, with a starting date ASAP and a salary in the grade D3 range.

You will support pupils in learning, assist the class teacher, contribute to a safe and respectful environment, and engage in CPD including First Aid and safeguarding training.

Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Fixed term until 31 July 2027.

Pay Grade: Grade D3.

Full Time Salary: £25,614

Actual Salary: £10,163.80

Hours: 17.50 hours over 5 mornings per week, 38 weeks per year.

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic, professional Teaching Assistant to work in a team with our teachers, who understands the learning and pastoral needs of primary children. The role would entail supervising and supporting pupils in the learning environment, whilst assisting the teacher with the implementation of pupil education.

• who is prepared to undertake appropriate CPD to develop their skills including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training.
• understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare - both at home and in school.
