Job summary

Primary Teaching Assistant

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

TeacherActive, one of the UK’s leading education recruitment agencies, is working with Primary Schools across Barton-upon-Humber and the wider area. We are looking to connect with dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants who are keen to find their next opportunity within education.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across a variety of classroom settings. This may include general classroom support, working with small groups, providing 1:1 assistance or supporting children with SEND, depending on your experience and the needs of the school.

We have opportunities suitable for experienced Teaching Assistants, as well as candidates with relevant experience supporting children who are looking to develop their career within a Primary School environment. Roles can range from flexible day-to-day supply to short-term and longer-term placements.

We are looking for Primary Teaching Assistants in Barton-upon-Humber and the wider area who can demonstrate:

• Experience working with primary-aged children or within a relevant educational setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Experience across EYFS, KS1, KS2, SEND or 1:1 support is welcomed
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting learning
• The ability to work effectively alongside teachers and other school staff
