Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Barton-upon-Humber and surrounding areas. The role covers general classroom support, 1:1 assistance, and small-group work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, with flexibility for SEND needs.

Roles range from day-to-day supply to short or longer-term placements, paying £95–£110 per day. A Level 2/3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential; experience and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children or within a relevant educational setting.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Experience across EYFS, KS1, KS2, SEND or 1:1 support is welcomed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
• The ability to work effectively alongside teachers and other school staff.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across a variety of classroom settings. This may include general classroom support, working with small groups, providing 1:1 assistance or supporting children with SEND, depending on your experience and the needs of the school.
