Job summary

Crawley College is seeking a Teaching and Learning Manager for Public Services and Business to lead high-quality education and assessment across a diverse portfolio, develop staff, and deputise for the Head of Learning to secure outstanding student outcomes.

You will shape the curriculum, forge strong industry links, support staff development, and create partnerships with employers and the community to change lives through learning.

Qualifications

• Proven record of teaching and assessment to high standards, including use of technology.
• FE teaching experience and leadership in a college setting.
• Experience trialling new teaching developments and supporting staff development.
• Supervisory or management experience and CPD track record.
• Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum priorities and sector changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the delivery of Public Services & Business programmes.
• Drive teaching, learning and assessment quality across provision.
• Support staff development and CPD activities.
• Depute for Head of Learning when required.
• Foster employer and community partnerships and ensure inclusive practice.

What you will bring to the role:

• Proven record of teaching and assessment to a consistently high standard, including the use of technology.
• Teaching experience within Further Education.
• Proven record of trialling new developments within own teaching & learning and assessment and supporting the development of others.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Up to date knowledge of curriculum and teaching and learning including sector priorities, proven through continuing professional development.
• A Certificate in Education, Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Level 5 Diploma in Teaching or equivalent.
