1) Exercise of general professional duties
A teacher who is not a principal shall carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require:

(a) A teacher employed as a teacher (other than a principal) shall perform, in accordance with directions from the principal, such duties as may be assigned;
(b) A teacher to whom paragraph 1(b) refers shall perform such duties as reasonably be assigned by the board or the principal of any school in which he/she works.

5) Assessment/Reporting: Contributing to assessments, reports, and references for pupils.
6) Staff Development: Participating in staff development and training, reviewing teaching methods, and assisting in course development.
7) Discipline and Safety: Maintaining good order and discipline, safeguarding health and safety, and participating in school meetings.
8) Examinations: Assisting in preparing pupils for public exams, assessing pupils, and supervising during exams.
9) Management and Administration: Contributing to staff recruitment, training, and management activities, and participating in administrative tasks.
10) Working hours and days: Full-time teachers are expected to be available for 195 days per year, with specific hours and breaks as detailed.
11) Cover duties: Supervising pupils in the absence of their regular teacher, subject to school size and policies.
