Job summary

Jubilee High School, part of Bourne Education Trust, is seeking a PE Teacher for maternity cover to deliver engaging PE lessons and support students across key stages. The role includes planning, assessment and contributing to pastoral care within a high-performing school.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the PE curriculum appropriate to age and ability, preparing materials and pastoral arrangements.
• Be accountable for attainment and progress of pupils, planning to help them reach potential.
• Identify needs of pupils with SEN and lead SEN support arrangements where appropriate.

We are seeking a PE Teacher to join our team at Jubilee High School, part of Bourne Education Trust.

Position: Teacher - PESpecialist (Mat cover)

Contract: Full time, temporary

Start Date: ASAP

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the individuals and classes you teach, preparing and developing teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.
• Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of all pupils within your class/es, planning effectively to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential.
• Being aware of pupils’ capabilities, planning effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and where appropriate, lead the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of SEN Support Arrangements.

Requirements include:

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
• Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
• Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development
