Job summary

Jubilee High School, part of Bourne Education Trust, is seeking a Science Teacher to join our team. This full-time, permanent post starts ASAP and involves delivering the science curriculum and supporting pupils to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Delivering the science curriculum relevant to age and ability; prepare and develop teaching materials and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.
• Be accountable for attainment, progress and outcomes of all pupils in your class; plan effectively to meet potential.
• Lead SEN Support Arrangements where appropriate; ensure monitoring and review.

Position: Teacher - ScienceSpecialist

Contract: Full time, permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the individuals and classes you teach, preparing and developing teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.
• Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of all pupils within your class/es, planning effectively to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential.
• Being aware of pupils’ capabilities, planning effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and where appropriate, lead the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of SEN Support Arrangements.

Requirements include:

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
• Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
• Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development
