Job summary

The Matthew Arnold School in Staines-upon-Thames is seeking a Science Teacher to join the team as part of Bourne Education Trust. The post covers a full-time, permanent contract with responsibilities to deliver the science curriculum and support students to achieve high standards.

• Plan for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and lead SEN support arrangements where appropriate.

We are seeking a Science Teacherto join our team at The Matthew Arnold School, part of Bourne Education Trust.

Contract: Full time, permanent contract

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the individuals and classes you teach, preparing and developing teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.
• Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of all pupils within your class/es, planning effectively to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential.
• Be aware of pupils’ capabilities, planning effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and where appropriate, lead the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of SEN Support Arrangements.
