Job summary

Willenhall E-ACT Academy is seeking an exceptional Teacher of Mathematics (with TLR) to join a thriving department of 10 mathematicians. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress and use data to raise outcomes across the faculty.

You will join a highly skilled and supportive department of 10 strong mathematicians, working collaboratively to develop excellent practice and secure the very best outcomes for our pupils. The department is further strengthened by the support of an experienced mathematics specialist within the Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic leadership and a genuine commitment to the continued development of mathematics across the academy.

GCSE Mathematics outcomes have shown a strong upward trend over the past three years, reflecting the commitment, expertise and collective ambition of the team. Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Faculty, this post holder will be accountable for

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support students of varying abilities in developing strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform teaching and provide targeted support and intervention where needed.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, good behaviour, and a passion for learning mathematics.
  • Prepare students effectively for assessments and examinations, ensuring they are confident in applying mathematical concepts and techniques.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.
Pay range:

MPS/UPS: £34,069 - £52,835

TLR available for the right candidate and experience
