Willenhall E-ACT Academy is seeking an inspirational Mathematics teacher (with TLR) to join a highly skilled department of 10 mathematicians, dedicated to delivering an exceptional maths education and improving outcomes for pupils across the academy.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress and support colleagues, with opportunities to develop leadership and contribute to the department’s continued improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent.
• Degree in subject specialism.
• Ability to teach ‘good or outstanding’ lessons.
• Effective classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support students of varying abilities in developing strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform teaching and provide targeted support and intervention where needed.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, good behaviour, and a passion for learning mathematics.
• Prepare students effectively for assessments and examinations, ensuring they are confident in applying mathematical concepts and techniques.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.

Key responsibilities:
