Job summary

St Peter’s CE Primary Academy is seeking an Early Years class teacher for Reception on a maternity cover contract. The role runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 August 2027, with full-time hours (32.5 per week) and a salary band of £32,916 to £51,048 per year.

You will join a dedicated team, benefit from mentoring and release time, and contribute to a supportive school community with Christian ethos.

Job description

Salary: £32,916-£51,048 annually (FTE) M1 to UPS3

Hours of work: Full time 32.5 hours per week

A bit about us:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Peter’s Primary Academy for a Early Years class teacher to join our dedicated and ambitious team in our Reception class. This is a maternity cover contract which will start 1st January 2027 and expire 31st August 2027.
