TAX MANAGER - NORTHAMPTON (HYBRID / FLEXIBLE WORKING)
Salary: Highly competitive + full suite of benefits
Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week

I'm currently partnered with a dynamic, rapidly expanding mid-tier accountancy and advisory firm based in Northampton. With a strong regional presence and growing national footprint, this firm has built a reputation for delivering tailored, high-value tax and business advice to a broad portfolio of SME and corporate clients.
Due to sustained growth and internal progression, they're now looking to appoint an experienced Tax Manager to join their collaborative, forward-thinking team. The position offers a blend of compliance oversight and advisory exposure, along with a clear progression path.

THE ROLE:

As Tax Manager, you'll take ownership of a mixed client portfolio, leading on compliance while supporting advisory projects such as restructuring, planning and transactional work. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the firm and contribute to team development and process improvement.
Key areas of focus:

• Managing end-to-end corporate tax compliance
• Advising clients on structuring, planning, and general tax strategy
• Developing and mentoring junior staff
• Collaborating across departments to identify cross-sell opportunities
• Reviewing work, managing WIP and billing
• Playing a role in shaping and expanding the firm's tax advisory services

WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR:

• CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in tax within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong grounding in corporate tax compliance with exposure to advisory work
• Confident managing clients directly and leading technical conversations
• Commercially aware and team-focused with a proactive mindset
