Tax Manager - Northampton

Salary - competitive depending on experience

Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working

Holiday - 26 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)

About the Tax Manager role

We have an exciting role for a Tax Manager in our Northampton office.

We are looking for individuals with initiative to develop their careers and provide a first-class service to our clients in both compliance and advisory areas.

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Working within the Tax team, CSD's and wider team to grow the tax advisory offering.
2. Travelling to other offices to visit the internal team to develop tax offering.
3. Spotting opportunities within the team and help develop junior staff.
4. Developing and managing client relationships.
5. Managing work in progress, debtors and raising fees and assisting with department budgets.
6. Managing own flow of work and delegating appropriately.
7. Responding to internal tax queries from other departments.
8. Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities.

About you

1. 5+ years experience within tax in an accountancy practice.
2. Mixed tax experience with a steer to corporate tax.
3. ACA / CTA qualified or equivalent.
4. Have a solid compliance / advisory background within Practice.
5. Previous experience with managing a team, client-facing experience and budget / finance experience would be beneficial.
6. Be able to confidently work alone but also be a team player.
7. A self-starter who is able to hit the ground running and provide advisory support to not only tax but the wider team.
8. Ability to learn and develop own knowledge.
