Audit & Accounts Technician or Semi Senior

Are you an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior or Senior looking for a new challenge in the North Devon area? This could be just the role for you…

Joining my client, a very well respected and progressive firm, you will support a Client Manager in the following areas:

• Reviewing and finalising accounts prepared by junior staff members and providing feedback for improvement and staff development
• Reviewing digital data entry and VAT returns and preparing management information for clients
• Liaising with clients over the phone, by email and by post
• Correspondence with HMRC, Companies House and other relevant organisations
• Preparation of personal and partnership tax returns and computations
• Preparation of corporation tax returns and computations for Limited Companies
• Managing workflow to ensure deadlines are met
• Assisting with a wide variety of tax issues (e.g. IHT, CGT etc)

This role would be a good fit for a qualified AAT, an active ACA or ACCA studier, or alternatively a non-qualified candidate with extensive experience in an accountancy practice environment. A strong background in accounts preparation and tax is essential due to the technical demands of this role, and you will also need to be a confident communicator with strong digital accounting software skills.
