Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting a Customer Service Assistant to support passengers at Taunton Station during railway engineering works. You will greet customers, provide travel information and assist with replacements by bus services, while maintaining safety and a helpful attitude.

Shifts include 08:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00 with dates 27–30 November 2026 and 24 December 2026–3 January 2027 (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day). Must be available for all required dates.

Qualifications

• Be aged 18 years or over.
• Be physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Hold a valid Right to Work in the UK.
• Have good spoken English and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet customers entering and leaving the station.
• Assist customers with travel information and general enquiries.
• Support passengers who require additional assistance.
• Help customers locate replacement bus services during engineering works.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming station environment.
• Provide a friendly, professional and approachable service at all times.
