Mears Group PLC is seeking a Talent Acquisition Consultant in Gloucester with hybrid working up to two days per week. You will lead recruitment for a designated business area, managing 50+ live roles and partnering with hiring managers to deliver a streamlined, candidate-focused process.

The role requires in-house or agency recruitment experience, excellent communication, and the ability to travel as needed. You will use Workday ATS and contribute to inclusive hiring standards across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment either in-house or agency.
• Strong customer service and communication.
• Proactive with ownership of tasks.
• Friendly and approachable; able to build relationships.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Capable under pressure and able to meet deadlines.
• Experience with ATS systems (Workday desirable).
• Willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a dedicated business area, managing over 50 live roles at one time with confidence to make independent decisions.
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers, acting as their first point of contact for recruitment needs.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand vacancies and create optimised job adverts.
• Engage with stakeholders around inclusive hiring standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service to hiring managers and candidates.
• Post roles across job boards and social channels to attract diverse talent.
• Visit branches nationwide to support hiring managers face-to-face.
