Job description

Systems Technician

Are you an accurate and quality-oriented technician seeking a role where your work makes a real difference?

We are looking for a self-motivated Systems Technician, educated to HNC level or equivalent in electrical and electronic engineering. You will be part of our Technical Operations Team, covering the Northwest region, with occasional support needed in other UK areas. The ideal candidate is accustomed to a fast-paced environment, customer-focused, and capable of building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

Preferred background includes experience in medical devices or servicing medical equipment, with a focus on continuous improvement. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel across the Northwest and potentially other UK regions. A valid UK driving license is essential. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rota.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Complete reactive customer support, installation, and evaluation tasks following FME policies and procedures.
  2. Maximize machine uptime by performing high-quality service work within specified timescales.
  3. Apply FME ‘Lean Service’ initiatives, processes, and tools as directed.
  4. Accurately complete TAM documentation and service reports promptly.
  5. Assist with technical upgrades and equipment modifications.
  6. Participate in the acceptance and commissioning of new business awards.
  7. Be part of the 24/7 on-call rota.
