About the employer: A little over 4 years old, this software developer is growing very rapidly. They produce a sector-specific all-in-one accounting platform that links site-level finance transactions to centralized HQs. The platform is extremely popular within their client market; one of the most future-proof sectors in the UK. They’re a young business, with a young senior management team, and a real passion for their product.

About the role: This is a finance role with a twist. The post holder will work very closely with customers, typically finance leaders operating at FC, FD, and Head of Finance level. You'll receive training to become an accomplished guru in the efficient use of the software. That, combined with your pre-existing knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a typical finance team, will enable you to offer tailored support to clients requiring technical assistance. Please note that this is not a call centre environment. The Finance Systems Technician will build a strong rapport with a handful of major clients, develop a deep understanding of their business models and accounting operations, and will likely be on a first-name basis with their system users.

Where this role is based: This role is permanently remote/from home. However, suitable candidates must be based within a commutable distance of the company HQ in Devon to enable ongoing product training and to ensure a close working relationship with colleagues. The company will provide all necessary IT and telephony equipment, broadband, and home office furniture to facilitate comfortable and effective work.

What we’re looking for: An enthusiastic individual with at least 2 years of recent experience working as an Accounts Assistant or similar in any sector. You should have a solid understanding of main accounting principles and the finance lifecycle. While previous experience with bespoke, sector-specific software isn’t required, some familiarity with modern accounting systems and an aptitude for learning new applications are essential.
