Job summary

Fortescue Zero Racing seeks a Systems Engineer to configure and calibrate vehicle software and infrastructure at Race, Test and Rig events. You will manage ECUs, steering wheel, telemetry and sensor data, ensuring high-quality measurements and timely hardware readiness.

Work with Electrical and Software teams to integrate new test requirements and maintain event artefacts. Able to operate under pressure, follow HV safety procedures, and contribute to tool development for systems engineering.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with vehicle software/configuration and lab/testing environments is desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HV training and safe operation around electric vehicles.
• Ensure electrical hardware and sensors are available for vehicle assembly in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Electrical team lead & Software Developers to integrate new test requirements into harness and vehicle software.
• Follow event preparation tasks and update System Monitor logging/configuration for events.
• Prepare System Monitor and ADS data processing tools per event checklist.
• Perform safety and systems checks including a box run on the vehicle.
• Ensure offloaded event data is accurately recorded and copied to the network.
• Log faults, label items, and maintain documentation per company procedures.
• Maintain and update technical bulletins and job lists relevant to the role.
