Job summary

Fortescue is building a world-leading team in motorsport and advanced engineering. The role focuses on controls and software for high-performance electrical machines, including telemetry processing and MIL/HIL validation, with close collaboration across validation, test, and trackside teams.

The candidate should have 2–5 years of relevant experience in control software for demanding environments such as motorsport, defence, or aerospace, and must be able to travel outside the UK.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–5 years of relevant experience in high-performance control software.
• Experience in motorsport, defence, or aerospace.
• Exposure to HV systems, energy storage, and low-volume applications desirable.
• Ability to obtain Base Line Security Clearance (BPSS).
• Willingness to travel outside the UK.

Responsibilities

• Process high amounts of ATLAS telemetry data.
• Create plant simulations in MATLAB and MIL validation.
• Develop robust control strategies for electrical machines under tight timelines.
• Occasional travel to track for software deployment and calibration support.
