Job summary

Maxwell Bond is recruiting a Systems Analyst for a growing Technology and Transformation team in the UK. The role focuses on student management systems such as SITS, providing support, configuration, upgrades, testing and continuous improvement.

You will work with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to resolve issues and deliver change. The ideal candidate has experience in customer-facing IT software support, core business systems, and lifecycle management with upgrades and patches.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing IT software/application support.
• Experience supporting, administering or configuring core business systems.
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management, including upgrades, testing and patching.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support across core applications and student management systems, including SITS.
• Investigate and resolve application issues, implementing fixes and workarounds where required.
• Manage application upgrades, testing, configuration, patching and lifecycle activities.
• Support system changes and contribute to wider technology projects.
• Work with third-party suppliers to investigate issues and deliver system changes.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain technical documentation, support processes and user guides.
• Support system design, configuration and integration across applications, databases and interfaces.
• Produce reports and dashboards around application performance and service activity.
• Help ensure systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.

We’re looking for a Systems Analyst to join a growing Technology and Transformation team, supporting a portfolio of core applications with a particular focus on student management systems, including SITS.

The role will cover application support, configuration, upgrades, testing and ongoing improvements, working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to resolve issues and deliver change. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of systems while also working closely with users and wider technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support across core applications and student management systems, including SITS

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working in a customer-facing IT software/application support role
• Experience supporting, administering or configuring core business systems
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management, including upgrades, testing and patching
• Experience troubleshooting complex application or software issues
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Good planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with third-party software suppliers
• Experience supporting student management systems / SITS would be highly beneficial
• Higher Education experience would be advantageous
• A proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach
