Job summary

Arthur Recruitment seeks a Syndicate Financial Controller to lead the finance function, delivering robust financial statements and Lloyd's regulatory returns. You will advise senior leadership, ensure governance, and drive process improvements across data, systems and controls.

Ideal candidate is fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with Lloyd's reporting experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. Salary up to £150k plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Extensive experience with Lloyd's financial reporting and accounting.
• Proficient in using finance systems and data warehousing/reporting tools.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
• Experience presenting to C-Suite level personnel.

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for the syndicate's financial control framework and end-to-end production of financial statements.
• Oversee regulatory reporting to Lloyd's, Group and BMA requirements with strong governance.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership and challenge assumptions.
• Foster relationships with auditors, actuaries, and internal teams to ensure robust data and processes.
• Lead finance function evolution, drive transformation and scalable improvements.
