An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Switchboard Operator to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will receive training to operate telephony software, handle emergency calls (such as cardiac arrests, fires, intruders), and gain knowledge of all NHS Tayside sites to connect callers to the appropriate departments or personnel.
You will work with various software packages relevant to the role, with training provided. An excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills are essential.
Switchboard Services operates 24/7/365, and you will be required to work out-of-hours shifts as part of a rota, with enhancements paid accordingly.
The position is based at Switchboard Services, Ninewells Hospital.
Hours of work: 27.87 hours per week, averaged over a 4-week roster, including out-of-hours shifts and weekends.
