The successful candidate will be supported to develop skills and competencies which will allow them to operate telephony software, deal with emergency calls (cardiac arrests, fires, intruders etc.), and achieve a level of knowledge of all areas/Sites within NHS Tayside to connect callers to appropriate people/departments.
You will also be required to work with several software packages relevant to the post, for which training will be provided. An excellent telephone manner and communication skills are essential.
Switchboard Services operates 24/7/365, and you will be required to work out of hours as part of the rota, with enhancements paid accordingly.
The post is based at Switchboard Services, Ninewells Hospital.
Hours of work: 27.87 hours per week, averaged over a 4-week roster. The role includes out-of-hours shifts, including weekends.
