Job summary

Freedom Leisure is hiring a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons across all ages within our Leisure Centre. You will teach according to qualification, communicate progress to parents, and help keep the pool area safe and welcoming.

We offer full training, an Enhanced DBS check, and a supportive team. The role is 6 hours per week with potential for growth as you gain experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Communicate with parents/guardians about child progression.
• Teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s programme.
• Hold Level 2 swimming teaching qualification or willingness to gain it with training provided.

Responsibilities

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers
• An ability to assist with children and their parents
• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification or willingness to gain qualification as training can be provided
• Enhanced DBS check
