Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals. Casual hours apply and training is provided to obtain Level 2 teaching qualification if needed.

You will join a charitable leisure trust focused on improving lives through leisure, offering a supportive team and opportunities to develop within one of the UK’s leading community leisure providers.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• An ability to deal with children and their parents.
• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification or willingness to gain qualification as training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre's swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• Communicate with the children's parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• Assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
