The Nottingham Transportation Engineering Centre (NTEC) is seeking a Research Associate/Fellow for a full-time 36.25-hour position in sustainable pavement engineering for an initial 12 months with possible extension. The role focuses on development and assessment of next-generation pavement materials and infrastructure using life cycle methods.

Formación

• PhD (or submitted by start date) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, Sustainability Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Demonstrable expertise in life cycle assessment and sustainability assessment methodologies.
• Knowledge of pavement engineering, road construction materials or sustainable infrastructure is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to development and application of novel research methodologies (LCA, LCSA) for sustainable pavement technologies.
• Collaborate with academic, industry and international partners to advance low-carbon and circular road solutions.
• Prepare high-quality research outputs including journal papers, technical reports and grant proposals.
