Aira is seeking a Heating System Design Engineer to design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties. You will conduct site surveys, gather data, and perform heat loss assessments to determine emitter outputs and radiator needs.
You will stay up-to-date with heat pump guidance, building regulations, and ensure installations align with efficiency guidelines. The role includes customer communication and proposing additional solutions where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience designing high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties.
- Ability to gather data from quotes, properties and surveys to generate accurate heat loss calculations and emitter outputs.
- Able to communicate solutions and adjust proposals to customer and company requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties.
- Conduct site surveys and collect data for installation requirements.
- Perform room-by-room heat loss assessments and determine radiator replacements if needed.
- Communicate price changes to customers with explanations.
- Obtain customer approval for proposed installations; prepare material lists.
