Job summary

Aira is seeking a Heating System Design Engineer who will design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties and perform site surveys to ensure accurate heat loss calculations and emitter outputs.

You will gather data, identify technical solutions, and keep customers informed while aligning with current regulations and manufacturer guidance. This role includes providing excellent customer service and working within Aira’s energy solutions framework.

Qualifications

• Qualifications, training, and experience to design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties.
• Experience conducting site surveys and producing heat loss calculations.
• Up-to-date with heat pumps, building regulations, and low-carbon heating requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties.
• Gather data from site visits to generate heat loss calculations and emitter output requirements.
• Identify and solve technical issues to keep installations on track.
• Report issues to line manager and communicate with customers about changes.
• Stay up to date with manufacturer guidance and regulations including heat pumps and building regulations.
