Job summary

Aira is seeking a Heating System Design Engineer in the UK to design high-quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties. You will conduct site surveys, gather data, and produce heat loss calculations to support accurate emitter outputs.

The role requires staying up-to-date with heat pump guidance, building regulations, and MCS standards, and you will communicate with customers to present proposals and secure approvals, while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties.
• Gather information from surveys to generate accurate heat loss calculations.
• Keep up to date with heat pumps, low carbon heating and building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and collect data relevant to installation requirements.
• Prepare heat loss assessments and emitter output calculations.
• Communicate price changes and obtain customer approval for the proposal.
• Identify solutions to technical issues to enable installation.
• Report issues to the line manager and stay compliant with guidelines.
