Job summary

Aira is seeking a Heating System Design Engineer to assess customer sites, perform surveys, and design air source heat pump installations for domestic properties. The role involves calculating heat loss, selecting emitters, and ensuring installations comply with current regulations and guidelines.

You will gather data from quotes and surveys, communicate with customers, and help drive efficient, compliant heat pump solutions.

Qualifications

• Design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties.
• Stay up to date with manufacturer's guidance and regulatory changes including heat pumps, low carbon heating, clean energy, and building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties.
• Gather information from quotes, property and survey data to generate accurate heat loss calculations and emitter output requirements.
• Find solutions to technical issues to ensure installation can go ahead.
• Report issues to line manager from the customer's property.
• Keep up to date with manufacturer's guidance and regulatory changes including heat pumps, low carbon heating, clean energy, and building regulations.
• Operate within Aira’s efficiency guidelines as well as MCS.
