Job summary
Aira in the United Kingdom is seeking a Heating System Design Engineer to design air source heat pump installations for domestic properties, conduct site surveys, and generate accurate heat-loss calculations. You will interpret data from quotes and surveys to craft feasible, efficient proposals that meet customer and Aira requirements.
You will stay up to date with building regulations and manufacturer guidance, liaise with customers to obtain approvals, and prepare a materials list for
Qualifications
- Design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties.
- Gather information from quotes and surveys to generate accurate heat loss calculations and emitter outputs.
- Report issues to line manager from customer properties.
Responsibilities
- Attend customer properties in your designated area.
- Conduct a site survey and collect data relevant to the installation requirements.
- Carry out a room-by-room heat loss assessment.
- Determine which radiators to replace and communicate with the customer.
- Answer technical queries from customers.
- Communicate price changes and explain the reasons.
- Obtain approval from the customer for your proposal to proceed.
- Create a list of materials required for the installation.
