Position: Sustainable Business Manager

Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to make a real impact? Aviva is seeking a dedicated Sustainable Business Manager to lead the UK financial services sector in climate action, build resilient communities, and operate sustainably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Aviva’s approach to sustainability benchmarks and indices such as SASB, CDP, Sustainalytics, S&P, and the UN Global Compact.
- Serve as an expert on anti-greenwashing, ensuring credibility of sustainability claims.
- Coordinate anti-greenwashing initiatives and collaborate with relevant teams.
- Support sustainable business initiatives, including advancing human rights agendas, conducting due diligence, developing Just Transition strategies, and managing human rights risks through assessments and reporting.
- Contribute to reputation risk management and ESG controversy communications.
- Assist in sustainability reporting, including ESG data sheets and framework mapping for annual reports.
Skills and Experience:
- Broad understanding of ESG and responsible business practices, with experience managing ESG benchmarks and indices.
- Expertise in anti-greenwashing practices and basic knowledge of human rights principles.
- Strong project management skills, especially in complex, cross-functional projects.
- Data and analytics skills to derive insights from sustainability data.
- Understanding of financial services and Aviva’s corporate strategy (desirable but not essential).
What We Offer:
- Salary: £40,000 - £70,000 depending on location, skills, and experience.
- Bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary based on performance.
