Job summary

George Blake Limited is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to assist customers using survey and positioning systems. Based near Camberley, you will troubleshoot, explain technical concepts and transform complex issues into practical guidance for users in a range of environments.

You’ll work with engineering and commercial teams to gather details, reproduce problems, and create clear documentation and guidance for customers and internal training.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting users of technical equipment within a survey or offshore engineering setting.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Qualification in hydrographic surveying, geomatics, electronics or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Acting as an initial technical contact for customers seeking help with equipment, software and system performance.
• Gathering information about operational issues, assessing potential causes and advising on next steps.
• Coordinating with engineering and testing colleagues when queries require further investigation.
• Producing clear troubleshooting guidance, application notes and other customer-facing technical content.
• Building your understanding of product capabilities and how customers use them in different environments.
• Sharing practical insights with colleagues involved in training, sales and customer service.
• Contributing technical knowledge to industry events, presentations and publications where required.
