Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join the Survey & Safety division. You will provide expert support for Machine Control products and engineering software, with a hands-on role involving installations, calibrations, training, and site-based assistance.

The position requires regular UK travel, with a base possibility in Scotland or the North of England. You will work closely with Depot Managers and the Sales Team to deliver exceptional customer service

Qualifications

Experience with Machine Control equipment and related software.
Knowledge of digital modelling and earthworks projects.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

Providing expert technical support, troubleshooting, and engineering advice to customers remotely and on-site.
Installing, commissioning, calibrating, and maintaining Machine Control equipment and software.
Delivering product demonstrations and technical training to customers and internal teams.
Supporting customers with digital models, data transfer workflows, and Machine Control applications in earthworks and construction projects.
Collaborating with Depot Managers and Sales Team to resolve issues and deliver outstanding service.
