Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield is seeking an Instrument Coordinator to join the Theatre team. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern.

You will oversee surgical instrumentation preparation, ensure instruments are clean and delivered on time, assist with consumables ordering, and work closely with theatre staff and suppliers to maintain stock and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a theatre environment or clinical support role.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise workload.
• Basic understanding of infection control and instrument handling.
• Good communication and teamworking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and availability of surgical instrumentation.
• Ensure instruments are clean, functional, and delivered on time.
• Assist in ordering and replenishment of theatre consumables.
• Support theatre team in delivering seamless surgical services.
• Work with theatre practitioners, sterile services and suppliers to ensure stock availability.
• Ensure instrumentation handling complies with policies and infection control.
